- Complete the “Residential Lock Box Waiver” form and return to Parma Heights Fire Dept. or email to FirePrevention@ParmaHeights.us
- Make a copy of your door key(s) before the installation.
- DO NOT send keys to the fire department.
- Parma Heights Fire will contact you to schedule an appointment to install your lock box.
- Have a copy of your key(s) available at the time of your appointment.

Community Risk Reduction Lock Box Program
The purpose of this program is to allow firefighters and paramedics to gain fast
entrance into your home during emergencies.
What is a residential lock box?
- A residential lock box is a metal, safe-like box mounted near or hanging on an entry door of your home with a house key secure inside.
- Parma Heights Fire personnel can access the residential lock box using a master key.
- Ideal for those with mobility issues.
Benefits of Residential Lock Box Program:
- Allows the fire department quick access into your home, potentially providing life-saving minutes during an emergency.
- A lock box almost eliminates property damage caused by forced entry.
